20 dollar dates just dont happen...
Hello Everyone,
I really liked the thought of a date for 20 or under so I thought April and I would give it a try. With my charming good looks and personality I was able to talk my boss into giving me an April tickets to the Jimmy Flynn Show that work was hosting for a national Union conference. OK OK so it wasnt good looks or personality it was them needing me to do computer work and make miracles which I seem to always be able to do. And for tomorrow night we will be going to a banquet and a dance with Donnie and the Monarch's. For both events the tickets are $0 and we get a free drink(April can have a Soda), and we are getting top notch food from a Columbian Chef that was imported from Russia a little less than a year ago. Tonight We feast on Lobster or Chicken and have a Kitchen Party with Jimmy Flynn. Included are Joke Books and Jimmy Fisherman Hats. So it is an Excellent fun filled night out. and over all it is under 20 bucks....Then comes the Babysitting....OUCH. Basically we pay 10 bucks an hour and we will be gone for 5 hours each night, so our Free weekend with lots of classy food and fun just cost us 100 Bucks. When I think of it we can easily blow 100 bucks taking the kids out to supper at Boston pizza or somewheres like that so It is all so totally worth the 100 bucks.
WE have thought of taking the date night theme one step further and started planning for family nights for under 20 bucks. After doing some research I found that as a family we can go out almost any night of the week to free concerts in the city. On south Side we have the pipe bands and dancers or country music on tuesday and thursday nights. On wednesday and friday they have rock and Jazz on the North Side. Every sunday night is a Free clasic movie in Officers Square downtown. For all of the free concerts and movies it is a bring a chair or blanket and picnic sort of thing. I think we will be doing a lot of that this summer, unless I start working for another company again, then it will be weekend fun only, but for now I'm a planin as if I have evening to the family.
Hmm Baby sitters will be here soon so I best be running. WE are all doin good and keepin out of trouble the best we know how. Meg's will be going to Middle School in the fall and Michaela is movin on up to grade 3. Wow how fast they grow. AT least they are pretty good little ladies still and I cannot complain.
Later Ya'll
Henry
